Tulikivi Announces New Distributor in Michigan - Masonry Heater Design House
Hickory Corners, MI –
Tulikivi announces Masonry Heater Design House as a new distributor to its family of North America distributors. This new
distributor is authorized in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois. Tulikivi provides a green alternative for masonry heating.
According to Doug Hren, owner of Masonry Heater Design House, his interest in masonry
heating dates back to the early 1980s when he read an article that featured Tulikivi. In 2001 he began his career with
Tulikivi as a project manager at a local brick and hearth shop in Kalamazoo, who distributed Tulikivi throughout eight states
in the Midwest. Today he is the owner of his own Tulikivi distributorship that supports dealers in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio
and Michigan.
“There are many possibilities for planning a masonry
heater project for new construction, additions, renovations and retro-fits,” Hren said. “We work with our customers
to create a seamless design that meets their lifestyle, it is installed by our certified installers, and we educate our
customers on how to use and care for their Tulikivi,” he explained. “We want them to be a happy customer for
life.”
Hren explained that the unique Tulikivi soapstone masonry
heater provides clean combustion that boasts emissions levels below regulations, its use can offset the carbon footprint,
and fueled by a renewable energy source makes it a green heating alternative. The radiant heat provided by a Tulikivi is
more energy-efficient than the convection heat of a traditional wood burner. Two natural resources, soapstone and wood
bring natural warmth to life.
